Dnastar For Mac
Date: 2/26/2018 Version Affected: All Version Fixed: 15.0 and later (varies by application) Issue: Apple has announced that in Feburary 2018, corresponding with the release of Macintosh 10.13.4, they will begin phasing out support for 32-bit applications. Apple is expected to end all support for these applications by Autumn, 2018, corresponding with the release of Macintosh 10.14. Macintosh 10.13.4 users (and later) may receive a warning message when first opening a 32-bit Lasergene application. The text of the message will resemble the following: “ may affect the performance of your Mac. The developer of this app needs to update it to improve its compatibility. OK” After the OK button is pressed, the warning will disappear and is not expected to reappear in subsequent launches of the same application. Resolution: Most of DNASTAR’s applications are already 64-bit compliant.
Dnastar Lasergene
We are working to update our remaining applications to 64-bit in near-term releases. Our current schedule is as follows:. Lasergene 15.1 (anticipated March 2018) will have 64-bit support for SeqBuilder Pro and the Data Manager. Lasergene 16.0 (Fall 2018) is expected to incorporate functionality from most remaining 32-bit applications into existing 64-bit supported applications.
We will continue to transition all of our applications to full 64-bit support as soon as possible thereafter. For further information, please contact DNASTAR at 866-511-5090.
